FabFitFun Spring Box

I received my second FabFitFun box this week and I’m still blown away by the value of this subscription box! It’s a seasonal delivery (4x yearly, cancellable at any time) that costs $49.99 USD. If you’d like to try it out (the Spring one is still available!), here is a link for $10 off your first one:

I love pretty much everything that was included in the Spring box and it’s all on trend stuff! Let’s go through it…..

Milly Zip Pouch ($45 value)

This came in four designs and I didn’t really mind which one I’d be receiving except that I was hoping not to get the “Slay All Day” one. I don’t know why but the term “slay” really annoys me, that and “on fleek”. Am I just getting old? Why is beauty lingo getting so weird? I’m definitely not trying to slay anything…..I mean there are days where I’m literally just trying to get some tinted moisturizer and eyebrows on so I can passably leave the house while I run errands with the baby. Fortunately I got the “Beach Please” version in blue which is much more up my alley! It’s water-resistant so perfect for storing wet swim suits after we hit the pool.

Deborah Lippmann Mini Nail Polish Set ($19 value)

This cute little duo came in light blue (Blue Orchid) and white (Like a Virgin) which are perfect for spring and summer. It’s a great brand and the polish wears nicely so I was very happy to see this included.

LUV AJ Diamond Kite Crawler Earring Set ($85 value)

This is probably my favourite item in the box! A super cute 14K rose gold earring set that comes with two of the long earrings and two coordinating studs. I like mixing it up and wearing one of each.

Karuna Hydrating+ Face Mask ($28 value) and Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator ($79 value)

I’m probably the least excited about the face masks, not because they aren’t good but because they just pale in comparison to all of the other fun stuff. Never heard of this brand but will give them a try. The Dr. Brandt Exfoliator gets mostly great reviews online and the only negative comment I could see is that some people found it to be too course. I’ve liked other products from this brand but feel that it’s a bit pricey for what it is. I think the price justification comes more from the celebrity based clientele vs. the actual cost of the ingredients but we’ll get back to this later in the post.

Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray ($20 value)

Was super excited to see this in the box! I recently included Briogeo in my clean beauty post and have been loving the Blossom & Bloom line of products so can’t wait to try something from the Rosarco Milk line.

REALHER Lip Kit ($48 value)

I received the I am awesome kit which is the Deep Nude shade. The colours appear to be rose toned nude which is great although I probably would have picked the neutral pink set if I had a choice. The kit includes a liquid lipstick that says “I am Perfect”, a lipgloss that says “I am Awesome” and a lip liner that says “I love Myself”. As mentioned in my last review of the FabFitFun Editor’s Box I’m not really into inspirational messaging which seems to be a theme now. I get it….it’s positive and uplifting but some of us are perhaps more positive on the inside and less into toting it around on a coffee mug or lipstick. But hey, to each their own! Anyway the lip set is made with natural ingredients, is cruelty free and all that good stuff so I’m interested in trying it.

Gypsy 05 Roundie ($50 value)

Another really cool item that was included is the Roundie, it’s a round blanket/wrap type of thing that can be used for the beach, a picnic or a music festival. It’s thin and light enough to not weigh your bag down but big enough for a couple of people to share. I think  I’ll get a lot of use out of this over the summer!

One of the BEST things about FabFitFun is that members can access add-ons which are basically amazing items at hugely discounted prices! Be careful though because you can get seriously carried away with the deals. I picked two products (it took a lot of self control) as add-ons; the Sol de Janeiro Samba 2-Step Foot Fetish Care and the Dr. Brandt Oxygen Facial Mask. The foot cream normally retails for $27 but FFF members only pay $13. The Dr. Brandt facial mask normally retails for $70(!) but FFF members can purchase for $21(!)…..see the price differential. Yes, WTF indeed. So back to what I was saying earlier about Dr. Brandt, I’m not willing to pay full price for most products from this brand because I feel that there are other brands that are more effective for the same if not lower price. However I did receive a sample of the Oxygen Facial from another mass retailer and have to admit that I really liked it! So was going back and forth over if I wanted to pay that much for a face mask or not but FFF saves the day with it being part of their add-ons and I very quickly scooped it up.

The Spring box comes in at an overall value of $374 USD and all for only $49.99. Realistically some of the items are probably over-valued but there are also items that are very much worth the valued cost if not more so either way, the FabFitFun box is a great value. Plus access to the add-ons alone are worth it!
